What FamilyWeek knows about you: nothing.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
FamilyWeek is made by A Brand New Company (ABN). In short: we collect nothing. No account, no server, no tracking. What you put on the board stays on the device. That's why we declare in the App Store: Data Not Collected.
What we don't do
- You don't create an account. We don't know your name, email address or phone number, nor your family's.
- The app sends nothing to us or anyone else. FamilyWeek has no server. There's no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third party crash reporting inside. The app only fetches a small file from this website now and then: see Version check.
- FamilyWeek doesn't ask for your contacts, reminders, location, camera or microphone.
What stays on the device
- The family's names and colours, the chores and the stars, whose calendar is whose, the night times and the chosen photo album. These sit in one file of the app, on the device itself.
- The parent code, not as readable digits but as a hash.
That file may be in the device's own backup, in iCloud or on your computer. Only you can get to that. We can't get to anything.
Permissions the app asks for
Calendars
FamilyWeek reads the calendars on the device to show them on the board. It only writes to the calendar for dinner, and only when you do it yourself: Make a Meals calendar creates that calendar, and Plan meals puts dinner in it. Your calendars stay where they already were: with Apple (iCloud), Google or another service you chose. FamilyWeek sends them nowhere.
Photos
Only for the photos at night, from the album you pick. FamilyWeek looks at them on the device itself, and never changes, copies or sends them. If you give access to a few photos, the app sees only those. You can skip this: the board then shows a calm clock at night.
Version check
The app fetches a small file from familyweek.abn.company now and then: when it opens, and after that at most a few times a day. The file only says whether this version of the app still works. If it's too old, the app asks you to update in the App Store. The app sends nothing about you or your family with it. As with any website, our host Vercel sees the device's IP address in its server logs: see This website.
Download
You download FamilyWeek for free from the App Store. We receive no personal data about you. Apple only shows us download figures that can't be traced to you, and crash reports from people who chose to share them with developers.
Children
FamilyWeek collects no data from children. From nobody, really. The names, chores and stars stay on the device and never reach us.
Deleting
Delete the app and the family, the chores and the settings on that device are gone. Your calendars stay as they are, the Meals calendar too. There's nothing on our side to delete.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no scripts or fonts from others.
To deliver the page to you, our host Vercel Inc. processes technically necessary data, like your IP address, the page address and the time, in server logs. We do this on the basis of legitimate interest: without that data a website doesn't work and can't be protected against abuse. We only use the logs when something goes wrong, and can see them for a day at most. We don't keep or export them. Vercel keeps them a short while longer for security, under its own privacy policy.
Vercel is an American company, so data may go to the United States. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which allows that transfer under the GDPR.
Cloudflare Inc. only answers DNS lookups for this domain: it points your browser to Vercel. Your visits to the pages themselves never pass through Cloudflare.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, also on the basis of legitimate interest. We keep the email while your question is open and at most a year after, and delete it sooner if you ask.
Who is responsible
A Brand New Company (ABN), Volume 88, 1446 WJ Purmerend, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 88565548. Reach us at info@abn.company.
Because the app collects nothing, there's nothing about your use of the app for us to show, correct or erase. If you emailed us, you can always ask to see or delete that email. You also always have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If the app ever starts collecting anything, we'll say so beforehand, in the app and in the App Store.
